The short story The Lottery was a very bad story I thought, the reasons for my opinion are that this story was quite barbaric, this place has a very strange culture, and it’s really weird how they have the kids involved. The reason for it to be barbaric is that they have to kill one person per year. Stoning someone to death would be very awful to have to witness such things; the woman who was to be killed from this village was stoned just because. How this culture is so strange is that for the whole town gets involved just to pick a piece of paper to see if they are the one to be used as fertilizer (as we say). This culture is very uncommon and weird. When kids are involved in such ways I think it is very wrong. The kids are the ones who were gathering all the stones to stone the person to be killed. The Lottery was very bad because of the vulgarity, the crazy traditions, and having the younger generation participating in killing someone.
